4nthracite is a desktop music application sold at 4nthracite.com. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the developer and publisher of 4nthracite.
2. Data we do not collect
The 4nthracite application itself does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identifiers (name, email address, IP address)
- Usage data, analytics, or telemetry
- Crash reports
- Audio files, samples, or project files
- Device identifiers or hardware information
- Location data
The application runs entirely on your local machine. It has no built-in network features and makes no outbound connections.
3. Local data storage
4nthracite stores data only on your own device:
- Project files (.anthc) — saved to ~/Documents/Anthracite/ when you choose to save a session.
- Recorded audio — WAV files written to a location you specify.
- Application preferences — stored locally by the Tauri desktop framework in your OS's standard app config directory.
None of this data leaves your device.
4. Purchase and payment
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. When you buy 4nthracite, Lemon Squeezy collects the information necessary to complete the transaction (name, email, payment details) and handles all payment processing and VAT compliance.
We receive a notification of completed purchases so we can provide your download link. We do not receive or store your full payment details. Please review Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment data.
5. Website analytics
The 4nthracite.com website may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics to understand page traffic in aggregate (e.g., page views, referring domains). No personally identifiable information is collected at the website level. No cross-site tracking cookies are used.
6. Cookies
The 4nthracite.com website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or personalisation. Any cookies present are strictly functional (e.g., session management for the checkout flow handled by Lemon Squeezy).
7. Third-party services
This website embeds YouTube videos (on the Tools page) via YouTube's standard embed URL. YouTube may set cookies or collect data when you interact with embedded videos. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We use YouTube's no-cookie embed domain where possible.
8. Your rights

4nthracite is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
